SEE Science Center, Manchester, NH (3.5 smiles)

We went to the SEE Science Center today, July 22, 2008 and here is my review....

Parking:  There is a few spots reserved for the SEE Science Center but most likely you will be paying to park by meter.  There are quite a few of meter spots out in front of the building.

Gate/Admission:  [$$] Helpful.  No line, no waiting.

Birthday Parties:  Yes

Bathrooms:  There are bathrooms on both floors with changing tables.

Cleanliness:  It's clean.

Store:  No store.  There is a vending machine for drinks.  They have a small space set up for gifts/souvenirs.

Overall:  I liked it.  There is a small section for toddlers.  Most of the exhibits are for school age children.  They do have a bubble table that my son really liked.  It is two floors and it has an amazing lego display that is set up like downtown Manchester during 1915.  It's the largest permanent lego installation at minifigure scale in the world!  It's worth the visit itself.  Go check out SEE Science Center!

Make sure you check your local library where you may be able to get a museum pass for free admission for your family. The SEE Science Center is also available for birthday parties. While at the SEE Science Center, you may also want to consider visiting the Manchester Millyard Museum that is in the same building.

If you've got a membership to the Boston Museum of Science, it works at the SEE also .... enjoy!

You are an amazing writer and you should contact www.bizymoms.com/manchester/index.php to get your blog featured to their large mom community. I am sure they would love your posts. I think in their expert page there is a form.

I agree that I think this is definitely geared towards school age children. I am glad that it was not expensive to get in, otherwise I would have felt like we wasted money. I think your kids need to have an attention span if you are going to try the SEE Science Center.

We visited the See Science Center in Manchester with our 1 and 2 year old daughters to attend a birthday party for a friend's 6th birthday. My girls LOVED it. We were in the party room for maybe 20 minutes tops and the rest of the time they spent exploring the place. We spent hours there and they would have stayed longer if we didn't have other plans that required us to leave. I did think walking in that I wasn't sure how long two toddlers would last in there, but they thought it was the greatest. The air machine blowing balls, bubbles, farm area with fossil finding, turtles, and the play area were just a few of their favorites! My only complaint was that I think the only way to the lower level is by the large stairwell...which does not accomodate you bringing your stroller from floor to floor.

Hi,
My family and I go all the time with the pass from the library. I have a 1 year old and a 4 year old who both love it! The do have an elevator that will take you to the lower level with your stroller. Just tell the person at the desk and they will help you.
