Boston Children's Museum, Boston, MA (5 smiles)

We went to the Boston Children's Museum today, July, 16th and here is my review.....

Parking:  There are two parking garages nearby that the museum can validate the ticket and you get a discount for parking (ours was $8.00 off).  Follow the directions on the museum website and it's pretty easy to find.

Gate/Admission:  [$$$$] Helpful and lots of attendants we had no wait!

Birthday Parties:  Yes

Bathrooms:  Everything you could possibly need and then some.  There are bathrooms on each floor, some with miniature toilets and sinks for the kids.  Every bathroom has a changing station!

Cleanliness:  very clean.

Store:  There is a store on site with the typical souvenirs.  There is a lunch room if you choose to sit and eat inside, there is a restaurant (Au Bon Pain) attached to the museum and there is a sandwich / snack shop right outside.  There are plenty of spots outside to sit and eat your lunch overlooking the water and the cool tall buildings that the kids love to look at.  The boardwalk is pretty cool.  You can take a quick stroll down the boardwalk after lunch!

Overall:  This is a great place for children 2-6 years I would say.  It's all hands on!  It's three floors with plenty of things for children of those ages to do.  I really liked that you could go in one room and they had an exhibit for smaller children right near the exhibit for older children.  It can be a little hectic with more than one child.  There is a lot to do there so be prepared to jump from one thing to the next!  Have a blast and go explore the Boston Children's Museum!

This place is fabulous! It's worth the drive and a great place to spend the entire day especially if it's raining outside!!

There's something for every age here!! It's a place to learn and have fun! We spend the whole day learning and playing from bikes and pulley systems, balls to bugs, bubbles and art, construction site to climbing walls and a whole lot more!!!

We love this place. We go after 5 PM on Friday nights, because it is only $1. The kids (one 9-year old, and two 3-year olds) love it. It has been a while since we last went, so this was a nice reminder that we should go again. Thanks! Sharon

We visited on Thursday and had a blast. I would recommend to call before going to see if there are any special events going on that would make it very crowded. In the summer we visited and it was camp day.... we left after 30 minutes because it was very crowded and overwhelming for the children. We had a much better experience this last time and spent 5 hours there.

We went yesterday for the first time and loved it!! I was not planning on it but we stayed the whole day until they closed. My son has asked all day today to go back again. I was so impressed I bought the pass before the end of our visit. They are currently running a special until June 30, 2009 to get an additional three months free! There are so many other places that we can now get into for free that I plan to explore. I am excited to go back to the museum again.

Great great place. Clean, fun, nice and helpful staff, and lots of learning incorporated in with the fun.

Would be nice if they fixed exhibits more often and changed them out more -as you really can only go 4 times a year and find it new and exciting (as an adult), but my 4 year old LOVE IT...and would go every weekend if she could.
