Date: 2/28/2011
Parking: Plenty of parking (free)
Gate/Admissions Attendant: [$$$] See pricing info here.
Birthday Parties: Yes. See info here. they also offer private functions.
Bathrooms: Very Clean with changing tables!
Cleanliness of the museum: Spotless
Store: Plenty of fun souvenirs. There is also a seperate dining area with lots to choose from.
You can also carry in your own lunch. I was told by the museum staff that you can eat in the birthday party room if there is not a party scheduled however, if there is a party you can eat in the cafe.
Overall: I would suggest this museum to school age children. There are a few exhibits that the younger children can touch and climb around on, but a lot of the exhibits are labeled "do not touch". It does have an elevator and stairs to get to the second floor and there are bathrooms on both floors. We went into the planetarium and viewed a show. It was very educational and kept my four year old engaged. The show was 45 minutes long. There is also an observatory that is open from 1-4 pm. Here is the info to the observatory. Have a great day exploring the galaxy and beyond.....
